Sales Engineer  

A Sales Engineer to join our sales department.

Nordan Marine A / S is an international maritime company that services and repairs mechanical and electrical cargo equipment on LPG, LNG and LEG gas ships Worldwide. We strive to expand within the marine market and continue to live up to our slogan "The World’s Best Alternative”.

With reference to the Sales Manager, we seek an experienced Sales Engineer to continue our expansion in the area of the Cargo Handling System and LNG fuel system.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and manage customer relationships within the Marine industry.
  • Participant in the sales activities and closing the deals with the customer.
  • Deliver Net Sales, Margin and other relevant metrics.
  • Organize and participate in relevant sales meetings with customers.
  • Collect and communicate market intelligence and competitor information in dedicated territory.
  • All sales activities take place Worldwide and you should expect certain amount of traveling days to meet up with customers.
  • Carry out Pre-docking Inspection on LPG vessels and prepare an inspection report.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience from a similar position within Marine sector.
  • Relevant education for example Marine Engineer or other technical background with technical sales would be an advantage for this position.
  • Technical competence and problem-solving ability.
  • Customer centric mind-set and experience from customer interface related activities.
  • Cultural knowledge and bridging the gaps between different cultures.
  • Negotiation skills, proficient at negotiations, both technically and commercially.
  • Presentation skills, goal-oriented with an understanding of service and customer focus, and with the ability to handle several tasks systematically without losing track.
  • Tolerance to work under stress in a complex business environment.
  • Fluent in English.
